we,re here

We finally arrived in Darwin this afternoon, after travelling since sunday morning. First night spent at coober pedy........................that was a bit different, then headed off to Alice Springs the next morning, and spent 2 nights there, did a little bit of sightseeing, then wednesday morning headed off @ 6.45 to Katherine, arriving there at 6.30 that night. This was by far the worst stretch of the trip, such a long drive, and we were all so weary of travelling. THis was new years eve, but didnt even have a drink, had a headache and travel weary. We were all vegging out in our cabin[which was just lovely], and then we got a heavy rain shower, which revived scruff and the boys, and they went outside to enjoy the rain, and found some cane toads too].
Katherine was the prettiest spot so far, our caravan park was really lovely and quiet, with a beautiful pool and lovely spaciou lush green grounds.
We left there this morning and arrived in darwin @ 1.00pm. Darwin is not quite what I expected, and also our accommodation doesnt look quite as good as it did on the net.I found our unit on stayz, a travel site, and it had quite a few positive reviews and looked really nice, but it looks a little bit shabbier IRL, so I think Ive got over it, and just have to hope its all okay and make the best of it.[have to confess I was alittle grumpy for a few hours after arriving, which has caused scruff to be a little anxious].
